Your extremely talented and I am estatic to have found your work. I like writing myself, but I am in College now so I’ve been trying out other things out. Anyway the way you craft a story makes me want to continue writing again. I recently have quite a bit of a dark/shadow elf obsession so your books are just what the doctor ordered. I really enjoy diversity in the fantasy genre being diverse myself(black). Anyway I hope your moving had gone we and I look forward to your next book. Thank you.

Mary – thank you so much! Definitely keep the writing up, it can open up whole new worlds for you. If you are able to take some creative writing courses, I highly recommend you do so. The classes I took helped in numerous ways – meeting deadlines, sharing in a public forum, critiquing work in a constructive manner, etc. I also made some very good friends and had the opportunity to join a group of like-minded individuals who met outside of class and continued to help each other grow as writers. We came from all walks of life, our love of writing being the thing that brought us together.
The move has gone well (I should have updated the blog, but the new book has been getting all my attention). I appreciate the well wishes. The first draft is about halfway done now, and I expect it to move a bit faster now since the first part of my books tend to include all the build up, scheming and navel gazing. P
Please don’t hesitate to drop me a line if you have some writing questions or need encouragement. At the very least, I ought to be able to say ‘I don’t know’ and then point you toward a book or blogger with better information. Whatever you do, don’t stop writing – even if it’s just a paragraph here and there.
